If a Smile could heal, instantly stopping pain as a mother's kiss does to a
child's injured finger, your pure smile removes the suffering from an
anguished heart.

The soft sigh of your breath during a warm embrace breathes new life into one
who thought he was long dead in the soul.

The sweet taste of your kiss spreads warmth and joy where only despair and
pain were once in place.

The feeling of your gentle, warm embrace spreads hope and self assurance to
the wounded soul.

The beauty of your lithe body brings fire to a heart that was asleep, and new
energy to a body that was thought to be used up.

Your unquestioning acceptance builds self confidence where once there was only
doubt and fear.

The sparkle and light in your beautiful dark eyes,  spreads illumination
through the darkest of life's moments.

But as I look into those same gentle, lovely eyes, I see the shadow of your
own pain lurking within.

Would that I could, I'd reach down into your troubled soul with a loving kiss
to heal you as you have me.  Short of this, there is little I can do to begin
to repay the one who has made me whole again and given me hope anew.
